The Events Industry has evolved rapidly in the past few years. This growth has led to a corresponding increase in the number of Event Management and Hospitality degrees being offered by Universities across the UK. As a past Events Students I know from first hand experience that these degrees offer valuable vocational knowledge, and help student develop a broad range of essential skills. But there are some elements that are occasionally overlooked, such as NETWORKING.
The Student Sessions at Confex was a crash course on why and how to network, as well as an opportunity for Students to meet with some of the most influential players in the industry.
It was our goal to help the next generation of students and graduates build their confidence through networking –helping give their career the best possible kick-start.
Set up, organised and run by Myself (Uni of Gloucestershire Events Graduate, Awards Winning Events Blogger & GPJer) and Elena Clowes (Uni of Herts Events Graduate, Winner of The Eventice 2014 & ISES UK International Special Events Society – Operations Manager)
