Opportunities.

That’s one of the main things I like to promote to students, prospects that will enable you to start your career with a boost.

(@EventStudents1 re-tweets a lot of internships & job openings that are relevant to students – definitely worth a follow)

From personal experiences of taking part in the Eventice, a variety of internships & from writing this blog, I know how much these have helped me in securing my current job and position in the industry. It is one of the reasons I have been so vocal on promoting this years Eventice Competition! But I’m also very aware that it can be hard to find out about these opportunities.

So today I am highlighting a few that would give YOU a fantastic edge:

MyEvent.Vision is an interesting, new nationwide competition that is looking for aspiring event industry professionals with a completely original event concept. The set-up is a cross-over between Dragons’ Den & The Apprentice’, with the strongest submissions being shortlisted and invited to pitch their concept to a panel of judges.

If you have an innovative event idea swirling around in that brain of yours, but lack the funds to turn this into an actual event then get applying! Not only does the winning concept get a £5,000 cash prize, but there is also an offer of a full-time or freelance job with Events International Group (EIG). EIG will also provide a significant investment into the concept, giving you the opportunity to turn your idea into a reality!

All the information on how to apply can be found HERE. Deadline: 6th February 2015
