Past Posts – #BEDM

When I woke up this morning all I could hear was the constant rain, that made me want to stay curled up in bed with a good book & some chocolate. But sadly that isn’t to be the case, instead I am up, dressed and ready to face the world!

Whilst this means I cannot stay in with a good book, I can instead read some new blog posts and articles whilst on my daily travels! Therefore this morning I am sharing with you 4 of my favourite posts up on this blog, these are not the most popular posts or are they all specifically related to events, rather just a few of my favourite posts that I like to go back & read!

Bite the Ballot: Why Young People Should Vote! – Bite the Ballot is an organisation I have a lot of respect for. They are all about getting young people voting and engaging with politics, but more than that they are actually making a change in the UK! They have a great youtube channel, with weekly captain logs of what the organisation has been doing, & you need to go follow them on twitter.

A letter to a future me about 2014 – Because this year has and will involve a lot of changes, I decided there was no point in setting new year resolutions. I did however note down a few things that I need to start before 2015, and it has been nice to see how I am getting on so far! I’m a sucker for regularly reading people’s posts on their monthly goals, they are one of my favourite quick reads!

Misconceptions associated with being an Event Management Student – Seriously one of my all-time favourite posts to write! YES, I think you know how it feels when someone says ‘events is just party planning!’ Four years of studying and I have had to deal with a lot of these comments, and whilst this can be okay to start with – I hit a point where I just wanted to clear a few things up!

Advice to you: That starry eyed event management student – This was another post I had a lot of fun writing, it really is all the things I wish someone had told me before I started University! If any of you are soon-to-be event students I would recommend taking a quick gander, not to sound big-headed, but there are some great pieces of advice in there!
