Liebster Award

Whats pretty crazy is that last week both Katie from Katie’s Antics, and the wonderful Becky from Becky B nominated me for a Liebster Award *Thank You very much you two* this is an award which is given to bloggers with less than 200 followers, by other bloggers.
This is what I love about blogging it allows you to share your appreciation of other people’s hard work & let people know about some of your favourite bloggers! With this award you have to answer the questions set by the person who nominated you & then you get to pass on the love by nominating other bloggers with under 200 followers **my nominations are at the end of the post!**

My Answers to Katie’s Questions:

What would be your dream job and why?

I’m lucky to be working towards my dream job which is within the events industry & i’ve talked quite a bit in the past about why this is the career that I am working towards.

But my biggest dream is to use events to engage with young people on issues that affect them, I want to use the skills and experience I have to make an impact on the world.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

My favourite place in the whole wide world is Berlin & the only reason I haven’t upped and left yet is because I sadly do not know a word of German.

What’s the best piece of advice you could give yourself?

Work hard but enjoy it.

Favourite event you’ve ever been too?

Greenbelt; because I work within the events industry i’ve attended a lot of great events but Greenbelt is my favourite. It is an all-round amazing event with a great programme but more importantly i’ve met some of the most amazing people here!

Are you a Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram addict?

Hands down a Twitter addict. (& you can follow me here & here) Thats right I am that much of a twitter addict I have two accounts!

Why did you start blogging?

Originally back in 2007 when I was 14 years old – so around 7 years ago!

What do you look for when searching for new bloggers to connect with?

Good content, because that is what makes me come back every time, plus at the moment I am loving finding new event bloggers.

What clothing brand do buy all the time and would recommend to a friend?

Dr Martens – It is a shoe brand rather than clothing & sadly I do not have the money to buy them all the time but I adore these shoes and recommend them to every single person I meet!

A book that you just couldn’t put down?

The Hunger Games series *although I originally listened to this on audiobook* I have re-read them countless times, they are a fantastic young adult series!

Best holiday you’ve ever been on?

This is quite a hard one as i’ve been lucky to travel a lot with my family – but I think the best holiday would be my big family trip to Italy back in 2009 when we were celebrating my Opa’s 80th & my Dad’s 50th birthdays. I love family & I love Italy so really it was just a perfect combination.

& Now on to Becky’s Questions πŸ™‚

How did you pick your Blog’s name?

I can’t actually remember why I didn’t just name this blog what the url is ‘Event Management Student’ maybe because I realised how boring it was. But I’m a damn student, what do I know? represented how I felt back when I started university & was attempting to get into the events industry!
It isn’t how I feel now & there is a part of me that is thinking about renaming when I graduate but i’m not too sure!
If you could meet anyone dead or alive, who would it be?
This is a tough question because there are so many people I would love to meet, but right this minute because I am gearing up for the start of the F1 season in March – Sebastian Vettel

What is your most prized possession?
The little gold signet ring that I have worn every day for about 7/8 years on right hand. It was *technically still is* my mum’s that she was given by my Grandparents when she was a teenager. I found it in her jewellery box and asked if I could wear it & have never taken it off! To me it reminds me of my family and the fact that are always there for me.
